Billy's Story

Back when he was just 2 years old, Billy Jeffrey already knew the value of entertainment. “My grandmother had a huge influence on the entertainment side of my personality. She would spend hours playing Elvis songs and showing me his dance moves. She would then have me perform for her and her friends at all of her social clubs. I loved it.”

Being inspired by the joys of entertaining has been a life-long passion for Billy. “Since I was 9 or 10, I just knew what I wanted to do,” he recalls of his early ambition to become a performer. “I knew where I was going, I was a very focused kid. I’ve always been like that.” At twelve years old, Billy made his acting debut with an audition for the starring role of his school play as a game show host. After winning the role, Billy’s family realized that he had an interest in acting as well. This led him to the entertainment field in his hometown of Lewiston, Idaho where he often showed up in commercials as a kid drinking Coca-Cola and playing sports.

When Billy was in high school, he decided to take health class as an elective. It was then that he developed a passion for health, nutrition, and training which took over his life for the next few years. In November of 1998, Billy took both his nutrition and business interests and opened up a General Nutrition Center in his hometown. To date, he is the youngest owner of GNC store in the company’s history...

While owning and operating a GNC store and the ability to model, act, and host, word of his personality and presence spread. Billy broke into the entertainment industry after his sister sent his picture and a letter to Cosmopolitan magazine. In turn, Cosmo responded and named Billy, “Idaho’s Sexiest Bachelor,” and the story began.

Several television, radio, and print ads soon followed and so did a large fan following. Thousands of letters and emails from all over the world filled his mailboxes. “I love being able to talk to people that are sometimes hundreds, even thousands of miles away. For a person to take the time to write to me is beyond my imagination, I’m very thankful.”

Putting his personality and stage skills to the test, Fox entertainment contacted Billy to be a contestant in the “Sexiest Bachelor in America” pageant hosted by Caroline Rea. Billy showed everyone his stuff by placing in the top 10 out of 51 competitors. “I want to establish myself as a well-rounded entertainer and every day you can count on me getting closer to that goal.”

Since then, Billy has appeared on Entertainment Tonight, The Insider, Dr. Phil, MTV, Jenny Jones, The View, The Ellen Degeneres Show and Maury Povich, where he was voted one of the most memorable guests of the year. All the while, gracing the pages of magazines like People, Life & Style, and US Weekly.

Even the world-famous Chippendales signed Billy for an image contract to be used in photos, live shows, and personal appearances. He has been working non-stop touring the globe and living his dream. He’s been called “the gentleman” in the entertainment business for his kindness and generosity toward fans.

2009 was a big year for the small town kid from Idaho. Billy began the year as a cast member on the ABC reality show "True Beauty", with executive producers Ashton Kutcher and Tyra Banks.

Looking ahead, 2010 looks to be an even bigger year as Billy has numerous projects in the works and continues to focus on helping others achieve their health and fitness goals along the way.
